Import data from Excel into R using RODBC package

The R’s RODBC package is generally used to import data from SQL database into R. However, this package can also be used to import data from Excel into R.

Configure Eclipse for R, both 32- and 64-bit

This tutorial talks about how to configure Eclipse for R, working simultaneously for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. This is useful if we have both versions of R installed in computer.

For example, we may have the 64-bit R as the default configuration. Now we want to run the odbcConnectExcel function, but this function works only under 32-bit scenary. Therefore, we have to switch the current active configuration to 32-bit R.
